Area Cowboys and Cowgirls Compete at High School Rodeos in Bloomfield and O’Neill
Slate Micheel of Sargent won the Bull Riding event Sunday at the High School Rodeo held in O'Neill

The Nebraska High School Rodeo made stops at Bloomfield and O’Neill this past weekend.  Among the area highlights, Sid Miller of Merna had a strong day in Bloomfield on Saturday.  Miller won the tie down roping in a time of 10.25 seconds and teamed with Zane Druery of Anselmo to win the team roping in a time of 7.37 seconds.  On Sunday in O’Neill, Devin Konicek of Burwell won the boys cutting with a score of 73.  Slate Micheel of Sargent won the bull riding with a winning score of 69 and Cooper Phillips of Burwell placed first in the tie down roping on Sunday with a winning time of 11.16 seconds.
