Area Athletes to Compete at Today’s State Cross Country Championships

Several area athletes will compete at today’s NSAA state cross country championships at the Kearney Country Club.  The Broken Bow boys and girls as well as the South Loup girls qualified as a team for today’s event.  Broken Bow will compete in Class C and South Loup in Class D.  Area athletes qualifying as individuals include:

Mullen – Trevor Kuncl, Peyton Paxton, and Callie Coble
Sandhills Valley – Jared Trimble and Colin Rooney
Arcadia/Loup City – Ty Greenland
South Loup – Logan Recoy
SEM – Josie Smith
Burwell – Jymmie Jensen

Competition begins today with the Class D girls race at noon followed by Class C girls at 12:30. The Class D boys race is scheduled for 1 p.m. followed by Class C boys at 1:30. Classes A and B will follow beginning with the Class B girls race at 2:30.
