There will be an area presence again this year at the Sertoma 8-Man All Star football game scheduled for this summer. A handful of area athletes have been chosen to represent the West team at this year’s all star game. They include Lane Edis and Zac Sweet of Mullen, Gavin Robertson of South Loup, Gage Haake of Sandhills/Thedford, and Josh Urbanovsky of Burwell. The West team will be coached this year by Jeff Shabram of Clearwater-Orchard. He will be assisted by Steve Neptune of West Holt, Scott Jorgensen of Paxton, and Mark Dethlefs of Bertrand. The East team will be coached by Ryan Haughton of Fullerton. He will be assisted by Carl Ostrand of Nebraska Christian, Corey Uldrich of Hartington Newcastle, and Eric Frenzen of Fullerton. This year’s game will be played Saturday, June 15th at Hastings College. Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.
