Overton hosted its annual track and field invitational Tuesday. Several area athletes delivered impressive performances. Sarah Lewis of Ansley-Litchfield continued her impressive season with 3 more golds on the day. Lewis won the 400 in a time of 1:03.38, the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 48.68, and the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 16.39. Alyssa Bailey of Ansley-Litchfield also had a big day winning the girls high jump at 5′ and winning the long jump with an effort of 35’1″. Cali Van Diest of Twin Loup placed first in the girls 3200 meters in a time of 14:05.53. On the boys’ side, Twin Loup had a strong day as Alex Horky placed first in the 400 meter dash in a time of 53.95. The team of Colby and Cooper Coons, Hunter Kraus, and Alex Horky posted the winning time in the 4×400 meter relay (3:47) and the team of Alex Horky, Cooper Coons, Hunter Kraus, and Jackson Taylor won the 4×800 meter relay in a time of 9:21.4. Justin Bailey of Ansley-Litchfield won the boys high jump by clearing 5’8″.
