The University of Nebraska at Kearney hosted its annual high school track and field meet for classes C and D Saturday at Kearney High. Among the area highlights, Landyn Cole of South Loup won the girls 800 meter run in a time of 2:50.56. Kaitlyn Jacquot of Anselmo-Merna was a double gold medal winner placing first in the 60 meter hurdles in a time of 10.5 and placed first in the 300 meter hurdles in a winning time of 54.04. SEM’s Josie Smith was took gold in the girls 3200 meter run in a time of 14:28.35. Anselmo-Merna won the girls 4×400 meter relay in a time of 4:27.8. Carson Rohde of SEM was a double gold medal winner placing first in the boys shot put (48’7″) and in the discus (161’1″).
