Ord hosted the C-7 District Track and Field Championships on Thursday (5/10). Among the competing teams were Arcadia/Loup City and Burwell. In Class C, the top 2 places in the field and individual running events and the first place relay teams automatically qualify for the state track meet in Omaha. Here is a list of the state track qualifiers for Arcadia/Loup City and Burwell.
Arcadia/Loup City Rebels : Taylor Ference 1st in the girls discus ; Capri Dethlefs 2nd in the girls 400 and 800 ; Nolan Baker was 1st in the boys long jump and triple jump ; Zac Stieb was the district champion in the boys discus and also qualified in the shot put by finishing 2nd.
Burwell Longhorns : Hallee Mann 1st in the girls pole vault ; Anna Gideon 2nd in the girls high jump ; Emma Hoffschneider 1st in the girls 800 ; Michaela Kelley was first in the girls 1600 and 3200 meter run.
