Anthony Holman selected as College World Series’ top administrator

Anthony Holman has been named the NCAA’s managing director for championships operations and playing rules.

The NCAA announced the appointment Monday. Holman will be the lead administrator for the College World Series as the successor to Ron Prettyman, who resigned in March.

Holman also will oversee championships in bowling, men’s ice hockey, FCS football, women’s volleyball, beach volleyball and rifle. Holman also will have responsibilities related to playing rules, governance duties and sport committee activity for multiple championships.

The 1995 graduate of Augustana (Illinois) has been a member of the NCAA championships and alliances staff since 2009 and most recently served as director of championships with direct oversight of Division I men’s lacrosse and wrestling.
