The Anselmo-Merna boys basketball team is one win away from the boys state basketball tournament. Tonight AM will travel to Ord for the D1-7 district final. The Coyotes will meet Fullerton with the winner advancing to Lincoln for the state tournament March 7-9. Anselmo-Merna is 19-3 on the season and advanced to tonight’s district final by claiming the D1-10 sub district title with wins over Sandhills/Thedford and Ansley/Litchfield. Fullerton claimed one of the 4 available wildcard spots after falling to Kenesaw in the D1-7 sub district tournament. Tonight’s game is scheduled to tip off at 6pm and will be broadcast live on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com
The Mullen Broncos will try to make a return trip to the boys state tournament as they face Blue Hill tonight for the D2-8 district title. Tonight’s game will be played at Gothenburg High School with the tip scheduled for 6pm central time.
