Amherst Wrestling Invite Results

Amherst hosted its annual wrestling invitational on Saturday.  Amherst was the team champion with 191 points.  The top area team finisher with SEM who tied for 7th.  Anselmo-Merna placed 9th in the team standings and Ansley/Litchfield was 12th and Arcadia/Loup City 15th.  Among the area highlights, Tristan Olson of Anselmo-Merna was runner-up at 106 lbs., Dawson Mason of South Loup placed 2nd at 120 lbs., SEM’s Maddox Jones was runner-up at 152 lbs., Chase Stieb of Arcadia/Loup City was 2nd at 170 lbs.  195 lbs. was a strong weight class for area wrestlers.  Sid Miller of AM was the 195 lb. champion with Rio Remund of South Loup placing 3rd and Luke Heil of Arcadia/Loup City was 4th.
