The Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association hosted the Nebraska Girls state wrestling championships Friday and Saturday at York High School. Ally Micheel of Twin Loup placed third in the 154 lb. weight class. Micheel fell in the quarterfinals to eventual champion Tiffany Senff of Axtell. Micheel battled back through the bracket to wrestle in the third place match where she won by fall over Haylee Miller of Wisner Pilger.
Lila Bloomer of South Loup placed 5th in the 170 lb. weight class. Bloomer lost in the quarterfinals to GiaVonni Blanks of Bellevue West and would end up wrestling in the 5th place match where she won by fall over Makinzie Parsons of Pierce.
