3 Broken Bow Players Chosen for Legion All Star Game ; Bow Juniors Team Falls to McCook

Three members of the Broken Bow American Legion Seniors baseball team will represent Broken Bow at the Area American Legion All Star Baseball game on July 11th in Kearney. Representing the Bow Seniors will be Coy Johnson, Clay Brandon, and Sam Peterson. The game is scheduled for a 7pm start time.

The Broken Bow American Legion Juniors Team dropped a tough on the road Wednesday night to McCook. Bow went toe to toe with a very good McCook Juniors team for 5 innings but McCook was able to put the game away with a big 6th inning. Bow and McCook were tied at 3 after 5 but McCook would score 8 runs in the bottom of the sixth to secure the win 11-3. Bow scored 3 runs on 3 hits while McCook scored their 11 on 9 hits. Austin Harvey had two of the three Broken Bow hits going 2 for 3 on the night with a run scored.

Broken Bow will host the American Legion Class B Area 6 Junior Legion tournament beginning Friday July 12 at Paul Brown Field. The seeding meeting is scheduled to take place on Friday July 5th to determine the opening round matchups.
