Bow Juniors Stay Unbeaten – Bow Seniors Score 20 in Wins Against Hershland

The Broken Bow American Legion juniors and seniors hosted Hershland (Hershey/Sutherland) for a doubleheader Wednesday night at Paul Brown Field.  The Bow juniors stayed undefeated as they narrowly escaped with a 5-4 win.  Broken Bow led 5-1 going into the 7th.  Hershland scored 3 runs in the 7th but left the tying run on base as Bow would hold on for the win.  The Bow juniors scored 5 runs on 10 hits but committed 4 errors.  Carter Johnson, Zach Loy, and Austin Harvey were all 2 for 3 and each drove in a run as Broken Bow improves to 14-0.

The Bow seniors had their top offensive output of the season rolling over Hershland 20-0 in 5 innings.  Bow scored in every inning getting 4 in the first, 7 in the second, 5 in the third, and 4 in the 4th.  Caden Holm and Sawyer Bumgarner combined for a 1 hit shutout on the mound as each struck out four.  Caden Holm and Carter Johnson each had 3 RBI.  Brody Ridder, Austin Harvey, Max Denson, and Blake Denson, all drove in two runs.  The Bow seniors are now 11-7 on the season.

Broken Bow will next travel to Lexington for a juniors and seniors doubleheader on Friday.
