2023 Shrine Bowl Coaches Announced

The Nebraska Shrine Bowl executive board announced recently some of the coaching staff selections for the 65th annual Shrine Bowl all star football game next summer.  Mike Huffman of Bellevue West has been selected as the head coach of the North Team and Mark McLaughlin of Platteview was selected as the head coach of the South Team.  Each coach expressed their gratitude for being selected to coach in the event.

Selected as associate head coaches were Larry Martin of Omaha North and Kurt Frenzen of Columbus Lakeview for the North Team and Brandon Cool of Kearney and Kyle Peterson of Aurora for the South Team.  The board also announced that each team’s coaching staff will extend from six to twelve next year.  Each coach will have the opportunity to select three current assistant coaches to join their staff for a total of nine additional assistant coaches per team.  Assistant coach selections will be announced at at later date.
