2019 NSAA Boys State Golf Championships – DELAYED

The Nebraska Schools Activities Association has announced that due to inclement weather the opening round of the Class C and Class D boys state golf tournament has been cancelled. The Championship will now be an 18 hole tournament played on Wednesday. Tee times and pairings will remain the same. The Class C tournament will take place at Meadowlark Hills golf course in Kearney and the Class D tournament will be played at Lake Maloney golf course in North Platte.

The NSAA has decided to also cancel the opening round of the Class A and B championships as well making them an 18 hole tournament to be played tomorrow. The Class A tournament is being played at Norfolk Country Club and the Class B tournament is now taking place at the Elks Country Club in Columbus.

Mullen and Burwell qualified as a team for the Class D tournament. Representing Mullen will be Josh Cox, Max Svoboda, Kendal Neal, Cade Groseth, and Koby Walker. Burwell will be represented by Dillon Critel, Quade Hunt, Taten Phillips, Colby Dale, and Jordan McBride. Jace Leibhart of Anselmo-Merna will also be in the Class D field. Colbi Smith of South Loup (Callaway/Arnold) qualified as an individual for the Class C championships and Jake Scherer of Gothenburg will compete at the Class B tournament. Cozad qualified as a team in Class B and will be represented by Adam Cole, Dillon Geiser, Brady Davis, Paul Cole, and Jacob Engel.
