Woman’s Meth Trouble Spans Two Local Counties

DAVID CITY - A  woman has been sentenced on a meth charge in Platte County, and is now headed to another sentencing in Butler County on a similar charge. Stacy Hernandez, 45, was sentenced to 2 years probation, after helping a meth dealer sell meth to an informant in Columbus, back in February, says court records. Hernandez is back in court, now in Butler County, after an arrest in June. Hernandez was  in a vehicle that was pulled over by the Butler County Sheriff's Office, on Highway 81, say court records.  Following a search of the area by a drug dog, deputies found Hernandez in possession of a needle that contained blood, and a baggie of meth, according to the affidavit. A jury trial in the Butler County case is scheduled for February 21st, on a felony possession of a controlled substance charge. Court records show a previous residence for Hernandez in Columbus, and a current residence in Omaha. Hernandez's aliases include Stacy New, Stacy Gilsdorf, and Stacy Ellenwood, according to an arrest affidavit.
