Woman Sentenced to 30 Months in Prison for Aiding Columbus Car Wash Burglaries

COLUMBUS, Neb. - A woman that police say assisted in multiple burglaries to a Columbus car wash was given two and half years in prison. 25-year-old April Fulmer was given the 30 month sentence by Judge Robert Steinke on Friday. Court records say that four burglaries were attempted during a five month stretch last year, with surveillance video capturing all four incidents from a car wash. Money was taken in three of the attempts. Court documents say, Dustin Fauth, who is currently in prison, was arrested in October of 2016 after authorities in Saline County noticed money and burglary equipment inside his SUV. Fauth admitted to the crimes and told the deputy that his accomplice was Fulmer. Fulmer later admitted to being involved in two of the four incidents, according to records. Fulmer will be forced to pay $405 in restitution and will be credited with 79 days already served.
