Woman Injured in Rollover Accident

COLUMBUS - A woman was injured after an accident on 23rd Street in eastern Columbus. A driver of a small pickup said he was northbound on 10th Avenue, turning westbound at the intersection when the accident occurred. Another vehicle driving westbound, and the pickup made contact with each other on the front end of both vehicles. The pickup flipped on it's side and the SUV it collided with appeared to have swerved of both sides of the roadway, before coming to rest in the inside westbound lane. "We were called for a rollover accident," said Columbus Fire Chief Dan Miller. "When we arrived there was one vehicle on it's side with no injured persons inside. Another vehicle, which remained on it's wheels, had one person in it, that needed to be transferred to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.' The accident caused 23rd Street traffic to be re-routed to the south while cleanup was taking place, and the vehicles could be removed from the roadway.
