Winter Storm Warning Issued for Parts of Nebraska

NORTH PLATTE, NE -- So it continues to be rainy across eastern Nebraska but at least it's not snowing... right? Well, western Nebraskans won't be able to say that soon. The first real snow of the year is forecast to come early this season and watches and warnings are already in effect. The National Weather Service out of North Platte has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Cherry County from 4:00 PM Tuesday through 9:00 AM Wednesday. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of the western half of the state. The NWS predicts 2-4 inches of snow with localized amounts up to six inches in the advisory range. Forecasters expect totals to be in the 4-6 inch range in the warning area.
