Wind chill warning remains in effect through Tuesday morning, -40° wind chills expected

A Wind Chill Warning remains in effect through Tuesday morning. Wind chills of 40 degrees below zero or colder are expected across western and north central Nebraska.

Coldest wind chills will be tonight (Monday) through the morning hours on Tuesday.

Temperatures this cold may cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. Hypothermia can also occur if precautions are not taken. This is dangerous to both people and animals, especially to young livestock.
