Wednesday Grass Fire Helped Along By Dry And Windy Conditions

Dry and windy conditions were not helpful to the Broken Bow Fire Department as they battled a small grass fire southwest of Broken Bow on Wednesday, July 8.

A number of Broken Bow Fire Department trucks responded to the scene at approximately 2 PM. The fire was located in a pasture south of the Custer County Highway Department buildings. Strong southern winds blowing around 17 MPH pushed the fire north before Broken Bow Fire crews were able to control the flames.

A complete story will be posted once additional details are available.
