Weather Symposium At Sandhills High School; Live Interviews On KCNI

The third annual Weather Symposium hosted by Region 26 Emergency Management and 911 Communications Center is set to take place at Sandhills Public Schools in Dunning from 4-7 PM on Friday March 15. Last year, the symposium was cancelled due to (ironically) severe weather, but this year is looking more promising!

The afternoon events include vendor booths, 911 information, talking with 911 dispatchers, food, door prizes, and a series of short weather talks by the National Weather Service.

The event is free and open to the public where they hope to give residents the opportunity to gain information on cloud formations and severe weather in a fun environment and meet 911 dispatchers.

There will also be live broadcasts from the weather symposium as weather professionals, will be discussing spring weather, sever weather, and other topics from 4-5 PM LIVE on KCNI.

If you are unable to attend, you can listen to the interviews on: 1280AM-96.3FM, kcni1280.com, or download the free KCNI Pure Country App!
