ARCADIA— According to Custer County Clerk Connie Gracey, voters have approved a levy override for the Arcadia School District 21.
The proposition stated, “Shall…Arcadia Public Schools, be allowed to levy a property tax not to exceed thirty cents per one hundred dollars of valuation in excess of the limits and exemptions prescribed by law for fiscal years 2021-22 through 2025-26 for purposes of general operations, building construction, remodeling, and site acquisition; and shall… Arcadia Public Schools be allowed to increase its general fund budget of expenditures for the ensuing 2021-22 school year by an amount not to exceed $500,000 above the authority prescribed in section 79-1023?”
The special March 9 election had 234 total voters with 126 voting for the proposition and 108 voting against the proposition.
