Virtual Summer Reading at the Broken Bow Library

BROKEN BOW–Imagine your story! It’s time for the Summer Reading Program at the Broken Bow Public Library and this year’s programs will be virtual! Programs are available for newborns to 5th grade and teenagers 6th-12th grade.

Newborns-5th grade: Register by May 8 in order to receive your packet by May 15.
Teens: Register by May 15 in order to receive your packet by May 18.

Virtual story time will take place via Facebook Live every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. from May 19 to June 30. There will be virtual guests on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and is for all ages. Tuesdays will be geared toward 3rd-5th graders and Thursdays will be geared for newborns-2nd graders.

Teens will have Zoom meetings on Wednesdays at 12 p.m. with Kim and author Tricia Wentworth to discuss composition books and the six traits of writing.

Step 2: Download the Reader Zone App on your phone or computer (Broken Bow code is a129d and select age group
Step 3: Pick you your packet at the Broken Bow Library (Call the library at 308-872-2927 to set up a time to get the packet)
Step 4: Record your minutes read on Reader Zone
Step 5: Attend virtual sessions on Facebook Live (Library’s Facebook page or on website)
Step 6: Earn prizes and have fun!

The last day to record reading on Reader Zone is June 30. Badges will be awarded on Reader Zone and prizes can be picked up by appointment at the end of the program.
