[Video] Kleeb: Dems Need to Raise ‘Serious Money’ to Beat Ricketts

Omaha, NE.—When the May 15 Primary is in the books odds are (and the odds are lopsided) Bob Krist will be the Democratic nominee for governor. And while Jane Kleeb, the head of the Nebraska Democratic Party, insists Gov. Pete Ricketts is beatable, she wants Krist to up his fundraising game. During a wide ranging interview with News Channel Nebraska (see video above) Kleeb says Krist "needs to raise serious money." According to the latest state campaign records, Ricketts has nearly $1.7 million in the bank compared to Krist's $45,000. Kleeb also told NCN:
  • She did not put her thumb on the scale to help Krist get the nomination.
  • What state races must be won to grade 2018 a Democratic Party success.
  • She regrets not having a candidate for State Treasurer.
