Veterans Day Programs and Soup Suppers Scheduled 2023

Custer County – This Friday will hold celebrations, ceremonies, and moments of silence honoring all of our nation’s veterans who served the United States in times of peace and war.

On the 11 hour of the 11 day of the 11 month in 1918, an armistice was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in World War I. Armistice Day, now known as Veterans Day has been celebrated every year since 1918 to commemorate all American Soldiers.

Local communities and schools will be hosting public programs to honor and thank veterans.
