Vaccination Of Phase 1B To Begin Week Of Jan. 11 With Age 75+; First Responders, Educators, Food/Ag, Etc., Included In Phase

COVID19— Phase 1A of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Vaccination Plan is beginning to wrap up, which means the state will soon be moving into Phase 1B. According to Loup Basin Public Health Department, each phase is broken down into tiers to further prioritize who is to be vaccinated. LBPHD has begun scheduling clinics to start vaccinating those 75 years old and older (Phase 1B, Tier I).

These clinics are scheduled to start the week of January 11 depending on the amount of vaccine allocated to the area. If you fit the criteria of Phase 1B in any of the tiers, click on the link to notify LBPHD: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc-B0ytwDSxGMKJjr6X2qQC0Yz2uNbfQ0kLcODWFycEPhViyw/viewform?fbclid=IwAR0St_k6OdwNlji37qZTmIc9W3GydGp2g3qdbZ1Hwz8KKCj0rl11ffaYBxI

If you have previously called and been added to the list, you do not need to fill out the survey. This survey will keep LBPHD’s phone lines open for others needing assistance with COVID-19 or other public health questions. If you are in need of additional assistance, please contact LBPHD at 308-346-5795.

Once Tier I has been completed, LBPHD will move into Tiers II-IV. Tier II will focus on first responders (dispatch, police/state patrol/FBI, fire, and adult/child welfare), utilities (power, water, gas, and sanitation), homeless shelter staff, corrections staff, and educators (teachers (public, private, and higher education), support staff, and licensed daycare providers).

Tier III will be the next priority with funeral homes (funeral homes and coroners), grocery, and food/agriculture (meat packing plants, food processing, and co-ops).

Tier IV will wrap up Phase 1B with transportation (trucking, railroad, gas stations), US postal service, and public transit (bus and air).

If you are in need of additional assistance, please contact LBPHD at 308-346-5795.
