UPDATE: 2 Adults, 3 Juveniles Injured in Morning Collision

PLATTE CENTER- The Platte County Sheriff's Office says two adults and three  juveniles were checked out by medical personnel for injuries in a morning highway collision. Sheriff Ed Wemhoff says just before eight there was an injury accident in the intersection of Highway 81 and 310th Street. Wemhoff says an investigation indicated that a 1991 Honda Accord driven by Tyler Campbell, 21, of Tarnov, was southbound on Highway 81, as a 2008 Nissan Rogue was heading northbound with 28-year-old Morgan Birchem of Columbus behind the wheel. The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of Highway 81, says Wemhoff. Wemhoff says Platte Center Rescue and Columbus Rescue transported Birchem, and three juveniles to Columbus Community Hospita lwith  non-life threatening injuries. Wemhoff says Campbell suffered minor injuries and was taken to a Norfolk hospital by a private vehicle. Damage to the Honda was approximately $2,000, the Nissan Rogue approximately $10,000, says Wemhoff. All were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, says Wemhoff.
