Ultimate Bullfighter And MasterHand Milling Team Up To Donate Partial Proceeds To St. Jude

It’s not just about entertainment this year. On Tuesday, July 28, twelve of the top bullfighters will make their way to the Custer County Fairgrounds and will take on top fighting bulls with the goal of working their way up the leaderboard. This freestyle bullfight puts athletic ability to the test as fighters will compete for 60 seconds against a fighting bull to try and score points for maneuvers performed during the one-minute competition.

While the show will be the highlight of Tuesday night, this year’s event will mean even more as proceeds will also be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. According to event organizer Josh Call, MasterHand Milling in Lexington and Ultimate Bullfighters (UBF) will be donating 12 ton of MasterHand Milling products to be auctioned off on July 28, with half of the proceeds from the 12 ton of products being donated to St. Jude. Call also said that for each ticket purchased for the event, one dollar will be donated to St. Jude.

“It’s just something we did to kind of give back to a charity that we thought was much needed,” said Call.

MasterHand Milling has been a family-owned dried distillers mill in Lexington since 2014. Today, MasterHand Milling uses unique extrusion machines to compress dried distillers grains into consistent, compact cubes and pellets that offer a superior standard of protein and energy. Call said that MasterHand Milling has been involved with St. Jude in the past and they were excited to partner with UBF for this year’s event

“It’s something that they have been a big part of,” said Call. “They have been partners with St. Jude in the past and it’s something that they wanted to do they wanted to help out with two things. And the Ultimate Bullfighters within themselves are going to give a dollar from every ticket sold as well.  Between the two with their involvement already with St. Jude, it just worked out well. It was just a good fit all the way around.”

If anyone would like to donate to St. Jude in addition to the ticket purchase, you will be able to donate at the merchandise table at the bullfighting event. Gates will open at 6:30 PM with the show to kick off at 7:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased for $18 in advance at bigtickets.com, at the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce Office, or at the Arrow Hotel. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate for $25.

Call said, “We’re just happy to have MasterHand come in and create this idea to make things work and be able to donate to a great charity such as St. Jude and it worked out well to have events like this in central Nebraska.”
