ANSLEY— A two vehicle accident near Ansley sent at least one person to the hospital on Thursday, August 8. At around 8:45 AM a 9-1-1 call came in stating that a two vehicle accident had taken place near Custer’s Last Stop south east of Ansley. According to scanner traffic, Ansley/Mason City Fire and Rescue was dispatched to the scene.
KCNI/KBBN was on scene and observed a silver KIA van that had been rear-ended by a black Dodge Ram pickup. The KIA appeared to be totaled as it suffered severe rear end damage. The Dodge also suffered damage to the front of the pickup and would most likely be listed as totaled. At least one occupant was taken to a Kearney hospital for precautionary reasons, according to Custer County Sheriff’s Deputy Braxton Sawer-Kociemba.
