Two People Report Car Windows Shot and Broken, Columbus Police Can’t Confirm Windows Were Shot

COLUMBUS, Neb. - Two people reported broken windows to Columbus Police Tuesday afternoon. One person told police that a window in their vehicle was shot out around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Another victim called around four hours later to report their car window was shot out while they were driving. CPD Captain Todd Thalken said that he couldn't confirm that both windows were shot out, but that it was possible. In one of the incidents, police are checking with an area business to see if surveillance video caught anything. Both incidents are currently still under investigation.
