Omaha, NE.—Two Nebraska Congressmen on board a chartered train that collided with a trash-truck are "okay", according to a congressional spokesperson contacted by News Channel Nebraska. Danielle Jensen, an aide to Omaha area Congressman Don Bacon, says Bacon and Congressman Jeff Fortenberry were not injured. Jensen says Nebraska's other Congressman, Adrian Smith, was not on board. According to other published reports, Senators Deb Fischer and Ben Sasse were not on the train. The accident occurred as Republican lawmakers were heading to a retreat in West Virginia. Fortenberry tweeted out a photo from the crash site: https://twitter.com/JeffFortenberry/status/958756141152047107 Florida Congressman Carlos Curbelo told MSNBC:  “Thankfully it does appear that most people are OK here, some minor injuries,” he said, adding he hoped the driver and any passengers in the truck were also unharmed. The crash occurred outside of Charlottesville, Virginia. “We were on our way to West Virginia and it was a sudden impact, a loud noise and everyone was jolted,” said Curbelo.
