Two Inmates Accused of Jailhouse Fight in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Neb. - Two inmates accused of fighting at the Platte County jail are looking at a felony charge. According to the Platte County Sheriffs Office, 22-year-old Antonio Magana of Columbus and 21 year-old Devin Piper of Columbus, got into fight while in jail on Sunday. Both received minor injuries during the incident. They are both facing one count of felony assault on a confined person. Piper is currently jailed after being accused of assisting in an armed robbery at Avenue Bar in Columbus. Magana is confined on two Colfax County warrants. If convicted on the assault on a confined person charge, both face a max of 20 years in prison with no minimum.
