Tom Brewer To Host Meet And Greet In Thedford September 16 At 7:30 PM

District 43 Nebraska Senator Tom Brewer has begun his re-election campaign and his “Freedom Ride 2020” will take him to Thedford on September 16.

Brewer, who was elected to the legislature in 2016, represents the largest district in Nebraska covering the counties of Blaine, Brown, part of Box Butte, Cherry, Dawes, Grant, Hooker, Keya Paha, Logan, Loup, McPherson, Sheridan, and Thomas. He was a 1977 graduate of Gordon High School, earned a degree from Doan College, served in the US Army from 1977-2014 as a helicopter pilot, served six combat tours, and was awarded two purple hearts, a bronze star, and the Secretary of Defense Medal for the Defense of Freedom.

In the Nebraska Legislature, most recently from 2019-2020, Brewer was assigned to the Education Committee and was also selected as the Chairperson to the Government, Military, and Veterans Affairs Committee.

According to the “Freedom Ride 2020” flyer, Brewer began traveling throughout the 43rd District on September 6 and will round out the tour on Wednesday, September 16 at 7:30 PM CT in Thedford at the Thomas County Fairgrounds for a meet and greet.
