THEDFORD— The village of Thedford will be having a tire clean-up on June 12 and June 13. This tire scrap is restricted for residents of the village of Thedford and the immediate surrounding area. This will be verified by the driver’s license address.
Only Nebraska tires that are free of their rims and have no sand in the tires will be accepted. Tire retailers will not be allowed to drop off tires. For those who will be dropping off tires you must be able to unload and give a count.
The tire drop off will be located on the western edge of Thedford at the “Village Transfer Station” and will be open from 8 AM to 7 PM. Residents bring in more than 50 tires must call in advance to (308) 645-7410 or (308) 539 2044 after hours.
No early dumping will be allowed and those who do not call ahead with large numbers may be turned away at the collection site.
Funding for the program is made available to the Village of Thedford through the Scrap Tire Waste Reduction and Recycling Incentive Grant Fund and the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality.
