COLUMBUS - Police reports say an adult, a teen, and a baby were injured in a 23rd Street collision.
A 17-year-old driver told police, they were heading eastbound on 23rd Street, when they began switching from the outside to inside lanes, according to reports. The driver then abruptly moved back into the outside lane, telling police a car they did not initially see, was passing in the inside lane.
Reports say at that time, the car quickly stopped for a yellow light, and was rear-end by a large truck hauling a full load of grain.
The 80-year-old driver of the truck told police they tried to stop, but were unable to do so because of the weight of the load.
The 17-year-old driver, as well as the 20-year-old and roughly 8-month-old passengers of the car, were treated at the hospital for unknown injuries, report police.
The car was totaled in the accident, and neither driver was cited, according to police reports. The accident occurred Tuesday at approximately 1:44 p.m.
