Third Annual Custer County Thanksgiving Dinner Just Over A Week Away

UPDATE 11/25/2019: Heather Callahan called KCNI/KBBN on Monday morning to remind the public of this Thursday’s Thanksgiving dinner, which she said will be happening regardless of the weather or how much snow falls. All are welcome to enjoy the meal at the Broken Bow Municipal Building.

BROKEN BOW— Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what we have and to be appreciative of those in our lives. Heather Kulhanek and Heather Callahan are in their third year of the Custer County Thanksgiving dinner that is held at the Broken Bow Municipal Building. The dinner is open to anyone who would like to enjoy home cooked food and fantastic company. The dinner will begin being served at 11 A.M. on Thursday, November 28.

The dinner is free will donation and any proceeds left over will be applied to a life enrichment scholarship. While the scholarship has had a slower start, it is still available for anyone that might be interested. Remember that the scholarship cannot be applied toward bills, food, or other payments, but must be used to help enrich the life of the winner such as cooking classes, learning a foreign language, etc. Applications for the scholarship are available by contacting Heather K. or Heather C.

Volunteers are always needed to help set up, serve food, clean up, and more! If you would like to help out these women on this fantastic cause, let them know! If they don’t answer, leave them a message and they will get back to you as soon as they can.
