The High School Fall Rodeo Season is underway with two rodeo performances held this past weekend in Bassett. Ty Bass of Brewster had a big weekend in boys cutting . Bass had the top score on Saturday with a 71 and improved to a 72.5 for the win on Sunday. Chase Miller of Broken Bow was runner-up in the boys cutting on Sunday and placed third on Saturday. Miller had the top time (9.82) on Saturday in tie down roping and also won the steer wrestling event on Saturday in a winning time of 4.96. On the girls side of things, Lexie Lowery of Burwell won the barrel racing on Saturday with a time of 18.622. Jaylee Simonson of Dunning had runner-up finishes in pole bending on Sunday and goat tying on Saturday and Kesha DeGroff of Broken Bow was runner up in the girls cutting on Saturday.
