Tecumseh Farmer Found Dead After Weekend Blizzard

JOHNSON COUNTY – A Nebraska farmer is dead after a weekend blizzard.

In a news release Friday, the Johnson County attorney said 78-year-old LeRoy Holthus of Tecumseh drove off the road and ran into a ditch Sunday.

A neighbor found his vehicle, but Holthus was not inside. Rescue crews searched for him Sunday night and Monday morning. His body was eventually discovered around 8:30 a.m.

Officials will conduct an autopsy to determine his cause of death.
