Supervisors Approve Board Appointments And Rehabilitation Funds
Custer County Courthouse (October 2020)

A quick meeting for the Custer County Supervisors saw only a handful of items passed due to a few discussion items being tabled to the next meeting. On Tuesday, the Supervisors tabled discussions on fracture critical bridge inspection and update of the backup system at the Judicial Center.

Zoning Administrator, Darci Tibbs, briefly spoke to the board and asked the supervisors to approve appointments and re-appointments to the Planning Commission and the Board of Adjustments. Tibbs asked that Rod Baillie, John Slagle, and Tim Troxel be appointed to the Planning Commission and Lynn French and Tom Myers be appointed to the Board of Adjustments. The appointments were approved unanimously by the Supervisors.

Andrew Ambriz, Custer Economic Development Corporation Executive Director, also spoke to the board and gave the semi-annual report where he talked about the Community Development Block Grant as well as funds that are now in the Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program (OOR).

The Supervisors also approved an application for OOR funds in the amount of $25,000. The OOR funds can be used to rehabilitate current homes that meet application requirements. Recipients of the funds are kept confidential.

The next Custer County Board of Supervisors meeting will be held on February 9 at 9 AM.
