String of Vehicles Hit in Theft Spree Monday Night

COLUMBUS - A string of 6 thefts were reported, after vehicles had been rummaged through in the 26th Avenue area. Police says they are still totaling the total amount of lost items, but several items were stolen from 7 different vehicles in 6 reported incidents. The incidents all took place on, or around, 26th Avenue, in north Columbus, says CPD Captain Todd Thalken. Thalken says among the items stolen were $72 cash, xbox games, dvd's, a charger, a blue tooth transmitter, jewelry, an iPod, and an unspecified amount of change. The incidents were all reported on Tuesday, and were believed to have taken place Monday evening into Tuesday morning.
