A National Weather Service employee told KCNI/KBBN that the advanced training sessions will focus on dual polarization radar, radar interpretation, hail, and an overall better understanding of storm spotting. Other classes will look into the features of thunderstorms and tornadoes, and discuss how spotters can assist the National Weather Service.

Anyone who loves weather or has been thinking about becoming a storm spotter is encouraged to attend. There is no charge to attend the classes. The NWS said they rely on weather information from local citizens in order to support the community.
