Ty Milleson was an up-and-coming auctioneer, having already auctioned at the Burwell Livestock Market in 2019. If you cannot attend the steer auction in person, you can watch and bid online at burwelllivestock.com. The Steer is planned to sell around 12 p.m. Central this Friday, November 27.

BURWELL–A steer will be auctioned at the Burwell Livestock Market this Friday, November 27 to benefit the Milleson and Wolever families.

On September 18, 2020 Ty and Shelby (Wolever) Milleson were in a tragic car accident that claimed the life of Ty and left Shelby in critical condition. Shelby continues to undergo therapy and remains in a rehabilitation hospital.

With the numerous costs of this tragic accident, family friends of the Millesons, Drew and Cristi Gaffney, have generously decided to donate the steer to be auctioned on November 27. The steer is planned to sell around NOON Central Time.

If you cannot attend in person, you are able to watch and bid online at burwelllivestock.com.

Ty and Shelby had just started their lives together following their wedding on August 8, 2020. They had a very prosperous life ahead of them on the Milleson ranch located between Dunning and Brewster where they had resided.

The loss of Ty was felt throughout the Sandhills community–and beyond–due to his ambitious and kind nature. At the age of 22, Ty had already graduated auction school and was given the opportunity to auction at Burwell Livestock last winter, which had been a big goal of his. He had also begun building his cow herd and his own herd of horses he had been training.
