Start of MNAC Basketball Tournament Delayed Due to Weather

Because of the winter storm hitting the area, the start of the Mid Nebraska Activities Conference basketball tournament has been pushed back to Tuesday. First round games will now be played on Tuesday. Second round games have been pushed back to Thursday and the semifinals have been rescheduled for Friday. Third place consolation and championship games will be played on Saturday as originally scheduled. No first round consolation games will be played.

First round games in the Loup Valley Division will be played in Brady and feature Brady vs. Ansley/Litchfield and Anselmo-Merna vs. Stapleton on the boys side along with Brady vs. Twin Loup and Anselmo-Merna vs. Stapleton on the girls side. First round games in the Sandhills Division will be played in Hyannis and feature Hyannis vs. Arthur County and Sandhills/Thedford vs. McPherson County on the boys side along with Cody-Kilgore vs. Arthur County and Sandhills/Thedford vs. McPherson County on the girls side.

Second round games will be played at Arnold (Loup Valley Division) and Hyannis (Sandhills Division). In boys second round games in Arnold, South Loup will play the winner of Brady/Ansley-Litchfield and Twin Loup will play the winner of AM/Stapleton. In girls second round games in Arnold, South Loup will play the winner of Brady/Twin Loup and Ansley-Litchfield will play the winner of AM/Stapleton. In boys second round games in Hyannis, Mullen will play the winner of Hyannis/Arthur and Cody-Kilgore will play the winner of Sandhills-Thedford/McPherson County. In girls second round games in Hyannis, Hyannis will play the winner of Cody-Kilgore/Arthur and Mullen will play the winner of Sandhills-Thedford/McPherson County.

The semifinals and finals will played in Broken Bow on Friday (1/26) and Saturday (1/27).
