Some Parts of Nebraska Could See 15 Inches of Snow

OMAHA - The latest snowfall predictions from the National Weather Service show some parts of Nebraska potentially getting up to 15 inches of snow, Sunday and Monday. Albion, Neligh, and Niobrara are seeing an increase in predicted snow fall, ranging from 12 to 15 inches, says the NWS. Norfolk and Wayne are also looking at increased amounts of snow, sitting between 8 and 12 inches of snow fall by Monday evening. Columbus and other towns in Nance, Merrick, Colfax County among others will see slightly less snowfall, in the 4 o 6 inch range, says the NWS. The NWS is predicting that precipitation will change over from rain to snow, slower the further you head to the southeast portion of the state. Curtis, Stapleton, Broken Bow, and Burwell are looking at the potential for 10 inches of snow, with O'Neill slightly higher at 11 inches, according to NWS predictions. A majority of western Nebraska towns could be looking at anywhere from 7 to 9 inches, with amounts decreasing, the further west you go, says the NWS.
