Six Injured in Rollover Crash During Blizzard

STANTON - A family of six is recovering after their vehicle crashed during Saturday's blizzard. Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says it happened just south of the intersection of Highways 32 and 15 at around 2:40 p.m. Saturday. Sheriff Unger says an SUV driven by 47-year old Anthony Valdez of Platte Center lost control of his SUV due to the road conditions. Unger says the SUV rolled several times into the west ditch before coming to rest in the field. Valdez and his wife were in the vehicle at the time, as were their four children ranging in age from eleven months to 17 years old. The four children were wearing their seatbelts while the two adults were not. All six were taken to St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point with non life-threatening injuries.
