BURWELL— The University of Nebraska, GLW Extension, and Furst-McNess will having a silage workshop for the beef producer on Thursday, September 13 in Burwell. The program will cover making good silage products form harvesting, storage & feeding, alternative feed source for your beef cow energy needs.
Dr. Galen Erickson, a beef feedlot nutritionist from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will be the events featured speaker. Dr. Mark Tracy with Furst-McNess Feeds and Big Red Feeds will be on hand to answer and questions regarding feed needs. A producer panel will also be discussing their experiences with silage feeding.
Registration will begin at 5:30 P.M. with the program beginning at 6 P.M. and a meal to follow at 7 P.M. Pre-Registration is required to have an accurate count for the meal that is provided by Furst-McNess. To pre-register or if there are any questions, please call GLW Extension at (308) 346-4200.
