Sherman County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Ord Man After He Throws Meth Out Of Window

On February 27th, 2021, at approximately 11:13 PM, a Sherman County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a Green Chevrolet Silverado on 797th Road, East of Highway 58, for a traffic violation.

As the Deputy approached the Green Chevrolet Silverado, the Deputy observed the driver throw an object out of the vehicle through the passenger side window. The object that was thrown out of the vehicle was a piece of a yellow glove containing methamphetamine pipes with residue and two plastic baggies containing suspected methamphetamine. The driver was then ordered out of the vehicle and placed under arrest.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was identified as Richard J. Kamarad Jr. of Ord, NE. Kamarad was transported to and jailed at the Valley County Jail in Ord, NE. A Valley County Deputy also assisted with the arrest.

According to Valley County Court Records, Kammarad Jr. is also facing a number of other alleged charges including possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (Class II felony), possession of drug money (Class IV felony), possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance (Class II felony), possession of a controlled substance (Class IV felony), and possession of drug paraphernalia (infraction).
