Sheriff’s Office Responds to Car/Deer and Car/Cow Collisions Sunday

COLUMBUS - Platte County Sheriff's logs show two separate accidents occurred just a half hour a part, where cars collided with a cow and a deer. Sheriff's records show the first accident was called in at 6:12 a.m. on Sunday, from Highway 81. The car/deer collision left a reported $5,000 in damage, according to reports. Sheriff's reports say roughly a half hour later, they received a report of a car/cow accident. At 6:43 a.m., the accident was report from East 44th Avenue, just south of the railroad tracks, and damage was estimated at $5,000, says reports. Neither driver was injured in the accidents, according to reports.
