Sheriff’s Office Investigating a String of Thefts on Northside of Town

COLUMBUS - The Platte Sheriff's Office says they are investigating a string of vehicle thefts, that took place in a couple hour span north of town on Thursday. The sheriff's office says in their Crime-of-the-Week release, that a string of thefts occurred in unlocked vehicle in the evening, in the Country Club Shores neighborhood. The neighborhood is north of Columbus, just off 33rd Avenue, and the thefts occurred between 4:00 and 8:30 p.m., says the release. Various items were taken from the vehicles, including electronic equipment and billfolds, says the release. The incident remains under investigation by the Platte County Sheriff's Office.
