Severe Weather Possible Throughout Platte Valley Wednesday Evening

COLUMBUS - Damaging winds, hail, and a slight chance for tornados exist Wednesday night, says the NWS. Central and southern portions are looking at a potential for severe weather conditions to kick in during the afternoon hours, and into the evening. The NWS says the area with that could get hit the hardest lies within a line just north of Albion and Tekamah, down through the Nebraska, Kansas border. Among the risks for the storm included 65 mile per hour winds, 1 to 2 inch hail, a slight chance for tornados, and .5 to over 2 inches in rain, says the NWS.
